Where is my Merry Christmas :(

December 25th, 2008,

Arnhem, The Netherlands.

Here I am on Christmas day, a holiday I have been looking forward to for quite some time. Hours of listening to Christmas songs, watching The Grinch last night (annual tradition), decorating my room for Christmas, writing 150 cards and sending them out to wish everybody a Merry Christmas and also sending out a homemade e card (http://talitha88.hyves.nl/album/3267962/Iedereen/ryxgRmEY/fotos/438031907/0/0AwH/) for everyone in both my email contact lists and my Hyves contact list, a holiday that is been called my time of the year. And here I am, sick in bed…watching "All you need is love", a Dutch program, where loved ones are being reunited to spent the holiday season together. Something I was planning on doing as well, but still I am here by myself in bed, resting. My mom is down stairs asking me time and time again if I want to eat anything, but I am still not hungry. I haven't been feeling well since last Sunday, but as my MSN name says: Unstoppable and ready for 2009, I kept on going and going and working 9 hours a day for the last three days. But now, I think I finally hit my breaking point. I went out last night, figuring I would be okay if I just kept on drinking cola and water, but after an hour and a half, I called it a night and went home.

I just switch on my Christmas lights and am receiving all kinds of textmessages of people asking to celebrate Christmas with them and I have to say, no, I can't and sorry, I'm sick! And if it would just be a cold or something, no problem, but it's probably the flu (buikgriep) and that for someone who never gets sick…it's a cruel world!!!

A holiday that I value so much and would do anything for, my holiday, my favorite holiday and I can't celebrate it! So all that is left for me to do, is watching everyone having a Merry Christmas….so ho ho ho, Merry Christmas to all…(sounds a "little" bit bitter, but guess what, this is not how I wanted to spent my favorite holiday this year)!

With all my love and sincerely my best wishes to you all for a Merry Christmas,

Talitha!
