Munich, Malta, Brussels and an unexpected turn to Florida

Please add your name in the comment itself if you leave one, I see almost everything under 'unknown'. Thanks!

There's not a whole lot that I want to write down, but I'll share a bit of it so it's not just pictures.

I had 3 weeks off from work at the end of march and was going to fly to Malta for about ten days via Munich both ways to visit my brother and his family. The night before I was suppose to leave for Munich though, I received a phonecall from the States telling me that my 22year old cousin had passed away in a motorcycle accident. We had just texted and so it felt surreal. I've seen her pretty much every year since she was about 3,  mostly months at the time and was often with her 24/7, especially when she was younger. She was the closest thing to having a little sister. And I've lost a lot of people in my life but this felt different. It was so sudden, so surreal, no time to say goodbye or anything. And so it really hit hard. I didn't want to see anyone that day but still decided to go to Munich the day after because I wanted to see my brother and had already booked that flight, as well as the one to Malta. I met up with him for a few hours and it was nice, the girls made me smile. I then decided to still go to Malta for a few days. I wanted to be by myself and take some time before flying to the States and also didn't feel like being home. I walked around Malta for a bit each day but my mind was pretty empty, nothing really seemed to matter and I wasn't taking anything in really. So I will have to go back and redo Malta. After a few days there, I flew to Brussels because it was the best way to get to the States from there. And I was in the States for about a week to be with family and attend the service, I flew home the day after. I still had a week left of my holiday which was well needed. And after that week, my sabbatical was still a little over a month away, but I was counting down the days more than ever. I also met up with some friends on my cousins birthday mid May to cheers to the ones that are no longer here and to life, which was nice 💕.
