Well, not quite yet! Hello from the gate at the airport!
The day after I booked my one way ticket to Toronto, I pretty much booked everything else I wanted. And so after a few last minute changes to my itinerary, this is it for the next 3 weeks: Toronto (incl. Niagara falls daytrip), Chicago, Vancouver (incl. whale/orca boattour๐ค๐ฝ), Anchorage (incl. a tour to see bears catch salmon๐ค๐ฝ) and Seattle to see the city but also meet a travel friend I met in Belize.
Breathe in, breathe out. It's done. All that was left to book, was a flight out of Seattle. I first wanted to go to Bolivia but I read about protests and stuff that started last May and so that wasn't a very safe option anymore. And also the trip there was sooooo long. And so, maybe Europe? Or Asia? Or safari in Africa?! I decided to get back to it later!
I had one last thing left to do in the living room before leaving and so I finished that as well! I looooove it! Two of my friends said that my house really changed into a "grown-up" house ๐คญ.

When all that was finished, I went to a friends birthday party and went out after that! Time to celebrate (again haha)!
After a short night of sleep, I went to a friends house for our pre-reunion-party on saturday! We had drinks and bites there and went to our Highschool reunion after! Felt really strange going back but in the end, it was lots of fun!!!! We, of course, went out again after that!
Hard to see, but Guiness (he)art ๐คฉ!
It's safe to say, I still wasn't bored. With work, it felt like days would just dissapear sometimes. But now it feels like I have 24 hours in a day again and I am using them to the fullest!
And so after a chill sunday, I went to the zoo with my mom on monday! Fi fa fun! And after that, a friend came to visit. I'm teaching her how to knit so another full fun day!

Mangrove
Favorite hidden path, from when I was little, that not many people know about!
On my last two days I mostly arranged a bunch of stuff at home and saw a few friends. I also booked a flight out of Seattle. I decided to fly back to Amsterdam, it was a deal I couldn't resist and Amsterdam is a better option to fly out of again, wherever it is that I want to go next. And so, I might have a few days at home first before leaving again, but I might also book a flight out of Amsterdam again on the day of arrival. But first things first, checking in online and packing my bag!!
A friend came by to wish me a good trip later that night. And I said I felt ready to go but I also have had a strange feeling over the last few weeks, coming and going. Which might also be why I wanted to get things in order and finish unfinished projects. It might be because the last time I went on sabbatical, I came back during Covid (I was stuck in Australia and had to go back home a month sooner than planned and missed out on a month in Indonesia) and the world had stopped.... And so yeah, maybe that's it. But all in all, I'm ready, I feel at ease and happy!!
I woke up pretty early which was fine, because I wanted to change the bedding and get a last wash in. The washing machine was leaking a few days back and I thought I fixed it because there was no more water leaking from it on the last wash (I was so proud of myself). But this morning, it came back with a vengeance haha. So much water, luckily I saw it in time and had towels ready. And the bedding was clean, so it's a problem for later haha! Byeee, time to go!
My taxi had arrived haha. A good friend offered to drive me to the airport! I usually just take the train but I of course accepted! A smooth trip followed!
Almost there
Thanks and bye bye
Traveling light is the way to go. 9.2kg total.
I used a timeslot for the first time ever and that kind of felt like VIP haha. It wasn't busy at security though and so not really needed but you never know that beforehand and so I definitely recommend it. It's free btw :-)! Got to the gate and finished typing this. One hour left to go. Toronto, here I come! It's goooooo time!!!
