Hej,
I couldn't sleep and kept researching things, it was about 530am when I finally closed my eyes in a final attempt and fell asleep a bit after. I woke up around 11am and left about an hour after. Went to the supermarket to get a few things for lunch and left for the train station. Going outside of Copenhagen today!
Train (30min) to Dyrehaven to look for deer and just to be in nature for a bit :-)
Bag on the back, back on the front. Sometimes it gets too hot ☀️
First deer π€©. Seeing a deer makes me think Snow White, like I entered a magical world and it felt quiet, calm, happy.
All I heard was the wind rustling through the leaves, different birds sing their songs and I saw lots of butterflies playing.
Gorgeous trees!
Loved this, with the water and trees around
Woops, didn't see these 2 little ones. I quickly and quietly left to look for another lunch spot!
Waaaaa so many deer and even a white one! Did you ever see one??? Apparently it's an Albino!
And again, beautiful and quiet surroundings
Found a new lunch spot and was able to watch the deer π€©π
White deer on the move!
π
And another surprise on my way back! Hello Bambi!
Bambiiii on the move!!!
Didn't know about the beach being close to this train station as well but also a bit much after my quiet walk, didn't feel like all these people haha.
This guy with the bright blue speedo has been in the sun way to long!! Not rare, not medium but well, well, well done!
When I came back into the city, I walked around for a bit before heading back to the hotel. Chilled in the room for a few hours and took a little nap. I then went back out and planned on getting food to go and eat in the room but the sun was still out and so I followed it until I found a sunny spot to eat :-)!
Harry Potter car haha!
Table umbrellas for the sun hihi! You can leave mine closed, thank you very much! Out for dinner☀️π
Dessert 1 and dessert 2. I mean I was going to get a cup of tea but when an Irish coffee cost the same...
Sunset π
More sunset shots - walking to the hotel
Finished this book in the room. I happened to see this book in Chicago (Tuesdays with Morrie) and almost bought it but didn't because I thought it was too much. I don't really buy new books, usually swap them abroad or get them 2nd hand. Then I saw the Dutch version at the thriftshop sale last saturday for 20 cents and so I bought it. If you ever see it, read it! Nice and touching true story π·!
Left the next day to go outside of Copenhagen again, well this time outside of Denmark! Daytrip to Sweden! Took the train to Lund, it's about an hour away. Super comfortable ride, took a little nap both ways. Visited the open air museum and botanical gardens. Even though I couldn't walk anymore, it was so humid and sticky most of the day. It cooled down a little later in the day and that's why I decided to walk through the gardens for a bit. Also sat down for a good 5minutes (!!) and decided not to stop in MalmΓΆ on the way back (also in Sweden and only 20min from Lund on the way back to Copenhagen). Enough was enough. I wanted to go back, take my shoes off and relax and so I did :-)!

Crossing the bridge between Sweden and Denmark
Welcome to Lund, Welcome to Sweden
On my way to the Open Air Museum, beautifulπ€©
Open Air Museum
Had a nearly perfect score shooting - 47/50 and the picture on the right was completely somewhere else in the museum but they fit nicely together haha.
Such a cute house!
Selfies - one beer please!
From this typewriter to now, smartphones. Wow..
Houses at the open Air Museum. You could go in most of them, just like in Arnhem. And some had exhibitions inside as well, temporary ones or permanent ones.
Another cool building in the city centre
Botanical gardens - 100+ year old Agava π±π€©
Camera life vs Real life π€£
Watched a movie in the room once I got back, called Grizzly night. Oef, what a intense and sad (based on a true) story. I almost lost my appetite but went out for a bowl of ramen anyway! I also looked into and booked accomodation for the next destinations. The flights and train I booked the day before and also wrote down what I wanted to do/see.
Nduja Miso Ramen with buckwheat hot tea
Bags packed and finished my 2nd book. Both books were about 150 pages so finished them quickly. I've got one left that I brought from home that's about 350 pages.
Bybye hotel!
Free locker and the library :-)
Sankt Peders Bakery, the oldest bakery in Copenhagen and therefore really popular. I just happened to pass it when I looked for the bookcase and noticed it because of the line outside. Love it when I get surprised like this. I tried the cardamom roll!
Bought this for myself, reminds me of the world and the ocean π. I don't think I've ever spent this much on anything I've worn (clothing, shoes or jewelry) even though I know it's nothing for most haha I'm a simple soul. But for the past few years I always check these stones out with my mom on Indonesian markets but never found one that I loved. Happy with this around my neck!
Last park!
Birdie!
Another surprise I happened to pass! There were a dozen or so artists at work but of course this was my favo π
Here we go!!
And at the airport now, crossing borders again! Flying to Norway to visit Oslo & Bergen! See you there!
Cheers,
T.
Walked: 21,3km - 11,7km - 11,6km - 8,6km (until flight)
